Tania has a broad corporate and public law practice, with a particular focus on tax, corporate fraud, land and regulatory proceedings.

Tania’s practice includes representing both local and international clients in contentious matters. She started her career at one of the largest law firms in the country, and has since further honed her skills.

An experienced and versatile advocate, Tania regularly appears as counsel and co-counsel before all tiers of Malaysian courts. She has represented clients in a number of high-profile matters and prides herself on her ability to simplify complex and technical issues.

Tania has appeared for taxpayers before the Special Commissioners of Income Tax in s. 99 Tax Appeals as well as before the High Court in judicial review applications, and in appeals arising therefrom. She regularly conducts seminars and talks on issues of tax law to accounting firms, companies and associations. Tania also writes articles for the Malaysian Tax Guardian on a regular basis. She is a contributor to Veerinder on Taxation (5th Edition) (2019) Wolters Kluwer, Malaysia.

Tania acts for regulators in disciplinary proceedings and subsequently represents them in applications for judicial review of the disciplinary decisions as well as appeals arising therefrom. Her advisory practice to regulators involves complex issues with wide ramifications.
