Admission as Partner:Jeremiah Rais Bin Badrul Hisham

Messrs Steven Thiru & Sudhar Partnership is pleased to announce that Mr Jeremiah Rais Bin Badrul Hisham is admitted as a Partner of the Firm with effect from 1st July 2024.

Jeremiah read law at the University of Leeds and is a member of the Middle Temple. He was admitted as an Advocate and Solicitor of the High Court in Malaya in 2017 and as an Advocate of the High Court in Sabah and Sarawak in 2018. 

Jeremiah’s practice focuses on dispute resolution with a strong emphasis on corporate, aviation, and regulatory matters. 

Beyond litigation, Jeremiah provides strategic counsel on diverse regulatory issues, including securities, anti-money laundering, technology, and telecommunications laws. 

Jeremiah is also recognized for his insights into financial regulation and cryptocurrencies. His postgraduate research in this area has resulted in multiple journal publications and speaking engagements, both domestically and internationally, on regulatory challenges posed by cryptocurrencies and other emerging technologies.
